Santa Fe City Council Passes Plastic Bag Ordinance

The Santa Fe City Council passed a plastic bag ordinance, Bill No. 2013-30 to ban the distribution of single-use plastic carry-out bags and establish a fee for paper carry out grocery bags to be imposed by retail establishments tonight with a vote of 7 to 1. Councilor Ron Trujillo was the dissenting vote.
