Easter Weekend Hours

All Santa Fe Public Library locations will close at 1:00 PM on Friday on March 30. All branches will be open regular hours on Saturday, March 31. The Main and Southside locations will be open on Easter Sunday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

Teatro Paraguas Presents: Tres Cuentos

Teatro Paraguas’ Fifth Annual Santa Fe Public Library Tour of Bilingual Cuentos will be held in April at all three locations. This free, bi-lingual set of folk tales will be performed at the Souththside Branch on April 13 at 1:30 PM; La Farge Branch, Saturday, April 14 at 1:30 PM and the Main Library, Sunday, April 15 at 1:30 PM.

This family-friendly event features a cast of 13 actors ranging in age from 3 to 66 under the direction of JoJo Sena de Tarnoff.

The three cuentos are entitled El Diablo de Polvo (The Dust Devil), Se Venden Cenizas (Ashes For Sale), and La Nina que riega la albahaca y el Príncipe Preguntón (The Girl Who Waters The Basil and The Inquisitive Prince). For additional information visit www.teatroparaguas.org

Santa Fe Libraries as Launchpads

An exciting new opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs is coming to Santa Fe

The Santa Fe Public Library and the New Mexico State Library, in partnership with Creative Startups, Fab Lab Hub, NMSU Arrowhead Center and local libraries and communities centers, is launching a new entrepreneurship education program, Libraries as Launchpads.
This program is powered by Creative Startups LAB: Pre-Accelerator curriculum and is geared toward early stage businesses.
Participants will learn:
  • How to find and delight customers
  • Understand low-cost product development methods
  • How to plan for cash flow and reach profitability
Applications are open through March 10. Classes will be held April 2 to April 27.

Two information sessions will be held this week on Wednesday, March 7 at 10:00 AM and Thursday, March 9 at 6:00 PM.
