Columbus Day Library Closures

All branches of the Santa Fe Public Library will be closed on Monday, October 8 in observance of     Columbus Day.

All libraries will be open regular hours, 10 am - 6 pm, on Saturday, October 6.

Main Library will be open regular hours, 1-5 pm, on Sunday, October 7.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Closures

All branches of the Santa Fe Public Library will be closed on Monday, January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The libraries will be open regular hours over the weekend:

Main Library:
Saturday: 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday: 1 pm - 5 pm

La Farge Library:
Saturday: 10 am - 6 pm

Southside Library:
Saturday: 10 am - 6 pm

New Year's Holiday Closings

All branches of the Santa Fe Public Library will close at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 31.

We will also be closed on Sunday, January 1 and Monday, January 2 for the New Year's Holiday.

All branches will resume normal hours at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 3.

Christmas Holiday Closings

All branches of the Santa Fe Public Library will close at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 24.

We will also be closed on Sunday, December 25 and Monday, December 26 for the Christmas Holiday.

All branches will resume normal hours at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 27.

Veterans Day Closings

All branches of the Santa Fe Public Library will be closed on Friday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

All branches will be open for regular hours on Thursday, November 10, and will resume regular hours on Saturday, November 12.

This year's Veterans Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Fire Station 1 on Murales Road, continues down Bishop’s Lodge and Washington and winds around the Plaza. It ends at the Bataan Memorial building where the Veteran’s Day ceremony will begin at 11 a.m.

Change Your Clocks!

Daylight Saving Time will end this Sunday, November 6 at 2:00 am. If you're not sure which way the clock goes, remember the phrase:
Spring Forward, Fall Back.

That's right, this Sunday we will all gain an hour. This one time a year, we've got an "extra" hour to play, work, or sleep with. So at 2:00 am Sunday morning, set your clock to 1:00 am, and you're all set!

Change in Library Hours

Starting July 18, 2011, the Santa Fe Public Library has chosen to close the downtown Main Library and the Oliver La Farge Branch Library at an earlier time. Main Library will close at 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday. La Farge will close at 8:00 pm Monday through Wednesday. All other hours, including weekends, will remain unchanged.

This measure is being taken to improve efficiency throughout the Santa Fe Public Library system in this new budget year.

Starting Monday, July 18, 2011, the hours for the Library will be:

All branches of the Santa Fe Public Library will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.

All branches will be open regular hours, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, on Saturday, July 2. The Main Library will be open regular hours, 1:00 - 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 3.

Regular hours will resume at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 5.

Memorial Day Library Closures

All branches of the Santa Fe Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 30 for Memorial Day.

All libraries will be open regular hours, 10 am - 6 pm, on Saturday, May 28.

Main Library will be open regular hours, 1-5 pm, on Sunday, May 29.

All libraries will resume normal hours on Monday, May 31.

Library Easter Closings

The Main Library will be closed on Sunday, April 24th for Easter.

All branches of the Santa Fe Public Library will be open normal hours, 10 am - 6 pm on Saturday, April 23rd. Also, Main Library will resume regular hours on Monday, April 25th.

In years past, the Santa Fe Public Library has closed early on Good Friday. This year all branches of the Library will be open our regular hours, 10 am - 6 pm, on Friday, April 22nd.

The emergency has abated

As of this writing, all branches of the Santa Fe Public Library will be open on Saturday, February 5th. We will have our regular hours, 10 am - 6 pm. The Santa Fe Trails bus service will also resume normal operations tomorrow. Stay tuned to the City of Santa Fe website for any updates.

Library and City Closings

Due to the State of Emergency, the City of Santa Fe, including all branches of the Santa Fe Public Library, will be closed on Friday, February 4.
