Sixth Annual Historic Canyon Road Paint Out

Come to Santa Fe and Canyon Road for the 2013 Historic Canyon Road Paint Out.
More than 100 artists will be painting outdoors on Saturday in front of the world-class galleries & sculpture gardens that occupy the century-old adobes on this ancient trail, which today is recognized as one of the top art destinations in the world.

This is a rare opportunity for the art-loving public to mingle with painters, sculptors, weavers, and carvers and to experience art as it comes to life at the hands of both established and emerging artists. Many of the works will be offered for sale.

Paint Out festivities begin on Friday evening when many galleries will host artist receptions, show openings, musical performances, and exhibits. A variety of artistic demonstrations take place during the weekend including bronze casting, painting, sculpting, canvas-making, weaving, and jewelry design. Artists at some locations will be working with children.

A festival parade with marching bands takes place at noon on Saturday and students from the Santa Fe Public Schools Music Education Program will perform in the early afternoon. The parade is sponsored by Furry's Pontiac Buick GMC of Santa Fe.
