Cancer Awareness Events at GCCC

The Genoveva Chavez Center Hosts Breast Cancer Awareness Events Friday, October 11th 5:00 - 7:15 p.m., Skate for the Cure Friday, October 25th 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., Zumbathon® Party in Pink

The Genoveva Chavez Community Center (GCCC) is proud to host two Breast Cancer Awareness Charity events during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Friday, October 11th from 5:00 - 7:15 p.m., Skate for the Cure charity event fundraiser. This ice skating event gives supporters and cancer survivors an opportunity to support the Anita Salas Memorial Foundation. Volunteers will be on hand soliciting donations for and selling baked goods to benefit the Anita Salas Memorial Fund. The first 100 skaters will be admitted free, compliments of the Santa Fe Skaters Association. After that the admission fee will be $5.50 for members and $6.50 for non-members, including skate rental. All proceeds will benefit Zumba® Global Research Grant for Breast Cancer Prevention. Cynthia Coulter and fourteen other Santa Fe Zumba instructors will be leading this exciting dance party.
