Octavia E. Butler, 1947-2006

Octavia E. Butler, the distinguished science fiction author, died over the weekend. Many tributes to her are turning up on the web: for example, the L. A. Times, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer (her home town), from friend and author Steven Barnes. There was an interview on Democracy Now last fall, available free online as audio or transcript.

It looks like we missed ordering her 2005 title, Fledgling, and will set about filling that gap. We have her other titles.
