The Santa Fe Public Library 2015 Summer Reading Program: “Every Hero Has A Story” June 1 – July 25, 2015

The Santa Fe Public Library presents “Every Hero Has A Story”, the Library’s annual children’s Summer Reading Program. Each week in June and July will feature a fun super hero themed craft, family program, or both!

FREE programs include: juggling, music, animals and more!  A circus act, cool crafts, and puppets are all a part of this summer’s heroic Summer Reading Program extravaganza! All programs are free.

Toddlers and children ages 0 through 12 are eligible to participate in the 2015 Every Hero Has A Story Summer Reading Program. Children may read on their own or parents (grandparents, etc.) may read to their children. They can read their own books or library books.

Please register your child and turn in logs at only one library branch. When you register in the children's room of your library, you will receive a free book bag and the first reading log.

Children must read six picture books or 6 chapters of a book and record the titles on their weekly log. Once a week (or when you are able), bring the log to the children's desk in your branch library and receive a prize.

The Library will give away five girl's bikes and five boy's bikes, along with helmets and bike locks. Drawings for the bikes will be held at the end-of-summer party at each branch. Entrants need not be present to win.

All children who participate in the summer reading program are invited to a party at the end of the 7 week program at their library branch. Each child will receive a weekly prize for their reading accomplishment.

Registration begins Tuesday, May 26th. For more information check santafelibrary.org or contact the library nearest you:

Santa Fe Teen Survey 2015

City of Santa Fe Teen Survey 2015

Hello!

Mayor Javier M. Gonzales here! The City of Santa Fe and I would like you to tell us how to help make Santa Fe a better place to have fun, help with job placement, etc.

This short survey is going to help us have a better understanding of what our City's teens are wanting or needing within their community. My goal is that after we receive the results, my team and I will plan on having a Teen Summit at the beginning of next school year.

Each of your voices is important and valued and it is my goal to bring your voices to all the City of Santa Fe's Councilors' ears and advocate for your needs and wants.

Thank you,
Javier M. Gonzales
