SFPL Director Pat Hodapp's 2016 Resolutions from the SF Reporter

Pat Hodapp
Director, Santa Fe Public Libraries

“Well, my hopes and dreams are always the same. I hope that Santa Fe has the best libraries that they deserve. Great cities deserve great libraries, and that is still my hope. I dream that this is going to happen, or continue to happen, in the next year, that way every child in Santa Fe has access to books and information.”

Tonight at the Main Library: Mayor, Councilors Host Community Listening Session on Budget

As part of an ongoing city effort to engage and include the public in the City’s budget-making this year, Mayor Javier M. Gonzales and City Councilors have convened two public listening sessions and conversations to answer questions, discuss proposed solutions, and ensure public participation as the administration continues to tackle long-term structural budget challenges.

The second of those meetings (and final meeting for this year) will take place on Tuesday, December 15, at the Main Library, beginning at 6:00pm.

Public and members of the press are welcome.

Announcing the meetings, Mayor Gonzales said, “In any budget process, public engagement is important, but especially as we face the challenges we face, and with the commitment we have made to put the City back on sound financial footing, we need the whole community to know what’s happening, have input, and participate in the solution.”

Photos from Today's Young Adult Craft Program, Book Arts!

Helen Fable came to La Farge today to teach the young adults how to stitch a book together and make different kinds of pop-ups to place inside, as well as a little pocket for our books! The young people of La Farge had a great time and plan to use their new skills for future needed notebooks and handmade gifts.
