On Sunday, March 17, 2013, the City of Santa Fe will host a book signing for Legendary Locals of Santa Fe by Santa Fe author Ana Pacheco. The event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Community Room of the Genoveva Chavez Community Center, 3221 Rodeo Road.
“It’s about people. It’s about time,” said Ana Pacheco about her book. She will be available to sign copies, Mayor David Coss will make brief remarks, and entertainment will be provided by Grupo Zia. The public is invited to this free event.
Legendary Locals of Santa Fe pays tribute to a diverse group of individuals, who through different eras, have contributed to the city’s vitality. Profiles in the book include Allan Houser, Maria Benitez, Fra Angelico Chavez, Stewart L. Udall and many others. The book is part of Arcadia Publishing’s Legendary Locals imprint. Each book delves into the history of some of the unique individuals and groups, past and present that have made a memorable impact on their local community throughout its history.
Author Ana Pacheco is a weekly columnist for the Santa Fe New Mexican, with strong ties in Santa Fe.
