Mayor Gonzales Launches Early Childhood Education Town Hall Series This Saturday Jan. 14th Meeting at Boys & Girls Club at Zona del Sol

Mayor Javier Gonzales is hosting the first in a series of Town Hall events focused on Early Childhood Education this Saturday, January 14, at 10:00am at the Boys & Girls Club at Zona del Sol, 6600 Valentine Way in Santa Fe.

The event will feature a short welcome and introduction from the Mayor and is expected to highlight the benefits and weigh the costs of the Mayor’s proposal to expand Early Childhood Education and high quality Pre-K to 3 and 4 year olds in Santa Fe. The event is also likely to highlight families who will be impacted by the program, but will largely be an opportunity for Santa Feans to come together and have their questions answered about the initiative and how it is likely to impact them and their families.
The public and press are welcome at each of what will be four events, starting this Saturday and wrapping up February 4th at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center.

Mayor Javier M. Gonzales said, “Communication goes both ways – we want to get out and make our case for Early Childhood Education and why we believe that giving a generation of children a once-in-a-lifetime chance at success is worth the investment. But we also want to answer questions, dispel myths and misinformation, and consider real concerns that our community may have about this new initiative.”
