Pam Smith’s talk will feature work exhibited at the
6th International Congress of Marblers (held in Istanbul in May 2016). Pam will
show how both historic technique and ingenious new design have come together in
a whole new artistry. Pam Smith is known for her marbled papers that she makes
under the imprint of Marblesmith. She resides in Abiquiu, New Mexico, and was
the longtime printer at the Museum of New Mexico Palace Press. She is the
author of Passions in Print: A History of Private Press Artistry in New
Mexico, 1834-Present.
