La Tierra Torture Mountain Bike Race to be Held May 4th


Registration is open through May 2nd

The seventh annual La Tierra Torture Mountain Bike Race will be Saturday, May 4th at La Tierra Trails in Santa Fe’s northwest quadrant.

The La Tierra Torture Mountain Bike Race will be one day of great racing activity this year. The race has something for everyone—with categories for all levels of racers from beginners to professionals.

“The race will have a beginners course, which is primarily double track, and truly doable for all beginners. We would like to encourage anyone new to mountain biking to come try it out,” stated Jan Bear, race director.

In the past six years, La Tierra Torture has raised and donated more than $40,000 31,000 to local charities including the Santa Fe Conservation Trust, Santa Fe Trails Alliance, Atalaya Search and Rescue, the ForeKids Scholarship Fund, and the Bike Coalition of New Mexico.

The La Tierra Torture Mountain Bike race is the result of a collaborative effort between the City of Santa Fe, local businesses and several nonprofit organizations
