Teen Graphic Novel / Manga Workshops

with FACT: Fine Arts for Children & Teens

MangaPart I: Creating a Character:
Explore the art of illustration in the style of Manga and graphic novels! Participants will develop different characters focusing on facial expression, gestures, and fashion. Illustration materials include using nib pens, ink, and colored pencils on vellum and acetate.

Part II: Designing a Story:
Learn effective techniques for visual storytelling! Using the characters developed in the first series, participants will draw a one page scene from a story focusing on pacing and layout design.

Classes are taught by FACT instructors Aline Hunziker and Melinda Baker. All materials are provided for these FREE programs.
