The Friends of the Santa Fe Public Library
and the Santa Fe Woman’s Club are looking for teams to compete in its first
annual Great Santa Fe Trivia Smackdown!, a fundraiser and friend-raiser
for the Santa Fe Public Library and the Santa Fe Woman’s Club.
The event will take place on Sunday, April
23 at 2:00 PM in the theater of the Santa Fe Woman’s Club at 1616 Old Pecos
Trail. Teams of four persons each will compete for dazzling prizes in a
rollicking on-stage progressive-elimination competition!
Registration has now begun for a limited
number of team slots, with applications available online (see below).
Applications may also be picked up at the Santa Fe Woman’s Club, the La Farge
Branch Library, and each of the two Friends bookstores (located at the Main
Library and Southside Branch Library), where they may be left with a cashier,
or mailed to the Trivia Smackdown Committee, Friends of the SFPL/SFWC, 145
Washington Avenue, Santa Fe NM 87501. A check for the registration fee of $25
(per team) must accompany the application.

A fun-fact sheet is also available which explains the mechanics of the
competition and other particulars related to participation.
Registration is encouraged by April 15th,
continuing until all slots are filled. Businesses or organizations that want to
support this event should contact the Committee, too.
