GRANDPARENTS NIGHT: Saturday, July 14, 6-10PM. Enjoy an intergenerational evening at the Midtown Campus Bandstand (formerly Santa Fe University of Art and Design; accessible from 1600 St. Michaels Drive or Alumni Drive, opposite Yucca Street and Siringo Road). Celebrate The Center for Contemporary Art reviving The Screen on campus, bring your grandparents or just come out to a free outdoor showing of the classic "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory"! There will be food trucks, activities provided by Santa Fe Community College and Axle Contemporary and fun for the whole family including Swing dance lessons. Free camping chairs to the first 50 families! Free popcorn from Parks and Recreation and free soft drinks provided by Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Santa Fe.

"Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" is "the best film of its sort since "The Wizard of Oz"...delightful, funny, scary, exciting, and most of all, a genuine work of imagination. A surely and wonderfully spun fantasy" according to film critic Roger Ebert. Gene Wilder starts as Willy Wonka and Jack Albertson as the loving grandfather. (1971) The film will begin at 8:30 p.m.
