Society for Applied Anthropology Hosts Special Program for Local Residents at the La Fonda Hotel. March 28 is Santa Fe/New Mexico Day at the annual conference and it’s free to the public.

A highlight is the special workshop – Writing the Southwest: A Conversation with Anne Hillerman, Michael McGarrity, Nasario Garcia, and Jeanne Simonelli (chair).

The day includes a series of lectures and special presentations on New Mexico heritage, archaeology, culinary traditions, climate change, water issues, immigration, and public health.  Don’t miss the historic New Mexico films. These little known short films are a treasure.

We hope to see you on March 28!
