eBooks are finally here!
Today we go live with our
eBook software, OverDrive. OverDrive has
eBooks for Kindles, Nooks, Sony eReaders, and other eReaders.
- When signing on, use your library card
barcode, and be sure to include a capital “P”
- You may have 2 titles checked out at one time,
with the option of a 7- or 14-day checkout period
- You may have 2 titles on hold at once, and you
have 3 days to check out the hold after you receive your email that it is
available for you
- Titles automatically expire at the end of your
7- or 14-day checkout period
How OverDrive works:
- Browse or search for eBooks in our digital
collection: http://sanfe.lib.overdrive.com
- Add the titles to your cart
- Once you have found your two titles, select
“Proceed to Checkout”
- Click on “Download” and Adobe Digital Editions
will launch, or for Kindles, select “Get for Kindle” via Amazon.com
Transferring Titles to
your eReader:
- If using a Kindle, you must go through your
Amazon account to transfer the title to your Kindle
- If using any other eReader, you’ll need the
Adobe Digital Editions Software. When you go to checkout your first title,
the link to download the software will be available
- If you are using an iPhone, Android phone, or
a tablet, you’ll need the OverDrive Media Console app to checkout,
download, and read titles
