The Community
Services Department and the Public Works, Facilities Division are working on a
much needed improvement project to provide ADA accessibility upgrades at the Santa
Fe Public Library’s La Farge Branch Library facility located at 1730 Llano Street.
Construction
is anticipated to begin on Monday, July 24, 2017. The Contractor, Facility Build of Albuquerque,
is planning to complete the project by October 23, 2017. La Farge Branch Library will be closed to the public from
7/24/17-8/7/17 to perform the majority of planned demolition work. City C.I.P.
funds will be used to provides the upgrades.
No other
major closures or interruptions to regular service due to this project are
anticipated and patrons can expect nominal disturbance during daily use of the
facility after August 7th through the end of renovation. However, since significant remodeling is
involved with these improvements, some inconvenience to patrons and minor
closures may occur periodically. Thank
