SFPL Now Offers Freegal Digital Music

Did you catch this news? The Santa Fe Public Library now offers Freegal digital music!
The Santa Fe Public Library is now offering access to over 7 million songs, including Sony Music Entertainment’s catalogue of legendary artists, through the Ideas network, Freegal Music Service. This will allow the Santa Fe Public Library to increase the size and diversity of its music collection by offering access to over 28,000 music labels from 101 different countries. The Library currently has 6,100 music CDs available for our patrons.
The agreement allows registered Santa Fe Public Library cardholders to download three (3) Freegal Music MP3 files each week to keep and stream three hours of music every day for free via:http://santafenm.freegalmusic.com/index. It’s easy, just log into the site with your Santa Fe Public Library card.
The Freegal Music Service also has popular music videos available for download and free mobile apps for registered cardholders of the Santa Fe Public Library. The Freegal Music apps are available in the Apple® App Store and Google Play®.
“We are very excited to offer this service that delivers great music, compatibility with lots of devices and simplicity of use. Our patrons have requested streaming music and this allows the Library to meet their needs. This will be incredibly popular with our patrons, expanding the offerings from the libraries,” said Patricia Hodapp, Director of the Santa Fe Public Library.
