Santa Fe Book Art Celebration: Three Month Event Features Artist Books at the State Capitol Rotunda Gallery, Sept. 4 - Dec. 31

The New Mexico Capitol Rotunda Gallery in Santa Fe is hosting an exhibit of contemporary book art from Friday, September 4, through Friday, December 11, 2015. All of the 65 artists represented in the exhibit are members of the Santa Fe Book Arts Group (BAG). They all use a wide range of materials, designs, and techniques to create original works of sculptural or multi-dimensional book art. Dr. Cynthia Sanchez, Executive Director of the Capitol Art Foundation, is the curator and juror. This is the sixth time that the Capitol Art Foundation has invited Santa Fe BAG to exhibit.

The public is invited to a reception on Friday, September 18, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Attendance is free for both the reception and the exhibit.

The exhibit of contemporary book art is the highlight of the Santa Fe Book Art Celebration, which features a wide range of events and activities open to the public. These include hands-on workshops, lectures, presentations, tours, demonstrations, art sales, and receptions.
