The City of Santa Fe Environmental and Solid Waste Division and Santa Fe Public
Schools partnered together to promote recycling. The program originated as a
contest for local students to paint recycling signs to help promote recycling
throughout the community. Selected signs are going to be enlarged and placed on
the city’s refuse and recycling trucks.
The city is currently
asking businesses to hang the signs created by the students in their businesses
to promote recycling city wide and to increase recycling in businesses and
residences.
The program launched
