Teen Activities

at the Southside Branch
Teens
Wanna eat ramen and watch anime? Hang with your friends? Have your voice heard by helping plan cool teen programs? Read the book before the movie is released? Get crafty? Well, you can do all that at the Santa Fe Public Library Southside Branch! Join us every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. starting September 16. Teens 13 to 18 years are invited to come in and see what’s up.

The Teen Book Club meets on the first Thursday of every month at 4:30. We’ve read and discussed Eragon by Christopher Paolini, The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman, Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause, Going Bovine by Libba Bray, and many more. Join us, and help decide what we’ll read next!

Galaxy RailwaysHave ideas for new teen events at the library? Gone to an event in the past you’d like to see again? We’ve had mystery and vampire parties, chocolate-tastings, photography and calligraphy workshops, and much more. Want a say in what new books, movies and magazines are purchased for the library? Then the Teen Advisory Board is for you! We meet the second Thursday of every month at 4:30.

Anime Club is held the third and fourth Thursday of every month at 4:30. It starts on September 16. We will be showing Galaxy railways: Ahead full! part 1 on the 16th, and part 2 on the 23rd. Join us for anime on the big screen and ramen. Choose anime, watch anime, talk about anime. And if there’s a fifth Thursday in the month – par-tay!
