The 2008 New Mexico Book Awards Finalists have been announced. The winners will announced at the Book Awards Banquet on November 21 at the MCM Elegante. Early bird tickets are available before October 15. Tickets can be ordered online, or check the New Mexico Book Co-op site for more information.This year the New Mexico Book Awards will be honoring Denise Chávez and David Morrell with the Friend of New Mexico Books Awards and Ruthe Francis with the Friend of New Mexico Authors Award.
