As part of the library’s Summer Reading Program, Marlen
Magdalenda of Musical Instruments of the Southwest talked about and played
different Native American Instruments. Participants thought it was “cool
and interesting!” They were also fascinated by the beautiful handmade instruments
made from different materials such as yucca stalk, pinon sap, bamboo, clay and
more.
